IT’S ALIVEEE!!! No, really. But I needed assistance on some parts, like the 1TB hard drive. I needed to flip it around so the power could reach the SSD and TB hard drive. At least it works, so now I can copy stuff that is from my old Lenovo to the PC. There might be stuff I haven’t seen in a while too.
This is the inside of the messy wired PC of mine.
I found one lying around and it’s 500GB. But curious what is in it, I’m just not sure if SATA does carry power at the same time or I’d have to use some of the connectors that are in the PC.
The SSD will be relocated and I’ll be installing skype on my Ubuntu netbook so you can get in touch with me while I’m sorting out the computer.
I have yet to install the old MSI GT640 hard drive, but I’m worried about voiding the warranty so I’m not taking the risk. It has everything on there, but there might be older stuff on the other hard drive as I have used it in the old Lenovo laptop for years. Done me wonders and it isn’t as loud as the original drive it came with.
I’ll post pics of the inside of my computer, untidy wires here I come…
Thought I’d give Ubuntu a try but it didn’t turn out so well, I think my hard drive in it is dying slowly so I better get a move on saving up an SSD.
Sure it boots, but it’s pain in the bum slow. I think the latest version is buggy, because of the text in every menu. Turns out like this:
Now how the hell can I fix it? Either it’s a graphics bug or it’s a bug in the OS itself, maybe I can install Hardy Heron on instead.
